Victorian Fashions: A Pictorial Archive with Over 1000 Illustrations of Women's Fashions from 1855-1903
This really is a nice book, but we should probably remember that it is actually a book of illustrations and does not provide descriptive text. That said it really is a fantastic collection of Victorian Fashion, but from my point of view it sadly does not really include that much about victorian nightwear or cotton nighties.
As you go through the book its really interesting to see and make opinion on various garments, almost from the mindset of someone at the time - as you go through the book its really interesting to see how styles and attitudes change.
I would certainly recommend the book if you are interested in Victorian fashions, the book would be a nice addition for scholars or enthusiasts as a useful resource.
